STATEMENT OF FAITH:WE BELIEVE
1. The Word of God, the Bible, is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God. 2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God…. (2 Peter 1:21, John 1:1, 14, 1 Thess 2:13)
2. In One God: that there is one God (1 Cor. 8:6, 1 Tim 2:5), eternally existent in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one God, having the same nature, attributes and perfection. a. That God the Father is the Creator of all things and Sovereign Lord over all things. b. That Jesus Christ is fully God and was fully human, that He was the only Son of God and was born of a virgin, that He provided for the atonement of our sins by His vicarious death on the Cross, that His bodily was resurrected by the power of the Holy Spirit, that He ascended back to the right hand of God the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for His Church. c. That the Holy Spirit, the third member of the Godhead, indwells every believer from the moment of rebirth. That the Holy Spirit was sent to convict the world of sin (John 16:7-11) and to help, guide, comfort and empower the believers (John 14:16).
3. In Man’s Need of a Saviour: that all mankind are sinners and eternally separated from God (Romans 3:23, 6:23). Salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, who, through His shed blood, is the propitiation (settlement; full satisfaction) for the sin of the whole world. (John 3:23)
4. In Salvation through Jesus Christ only: Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
5. In the Gifts of the Holy Spirit: That the Holy Spirit gave unto the Church such gifts as were necessary for the perfecting of the Church. That these gifts are being used of the Holy Spirit in the Church today (1 Cor. 12, Eph 4:7)
6. In the Second Coming of Christ: in the imminent return of Jesus Christ and rapture of His Church. This is the “Blessed Hope” set before us, for which we are to be constantly looking (Titus 2:13).
7. In Church Ordinances: in the two New Testament ordinances of Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion), neither of which is necessary for one’s salvation. These are to be observed by every believer, but by believers only.
8. In Eternal Security: We believe that once truly born-again, the believer can never be lost, but is kept by the power of God. (John 10:28-30, Romans 8:35-39)
9. In Satan and in Hell: That Satan (the Devil) is a reality and is present to deceive and destroy the whole world. That hell is a literal place of eternal, conscious punishment of all the unsaved.
10. In the Sanctity of Marriage: that Marriage is between a man and woman only, as commanded by God. (Gen 2:24, Matt 19:4-6, 1 Cor 7:1-40, Heb13:4)
11. In the Two Great Commandments: that we would Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul mind and strength as well as Love His People (Matt 22:37-40, 1 Cor 13:1-3)
12. In the Unconditional Love and Grace of Jesus: Eph 3:18-19 That you may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
